Let’s look at the main ingredients:
- Noodles
- Sesame oil
- Soy sauce
- White rice vinegar
- Honey
Sesame oil, soy sauce, white rice vinegar, and honey are all natural, nutritious foods that can be used to add flavor to a wide variety of recipes.
Sugar is what makes food unhealthy.
Common pasta is made from white flour (refined grains) which means pasta is nearly equivalent to sugar.
Add 240g of sugar (40g/serving) to these chili garlic oil noodles, and you’re looking at heartburn with an energy crash. (And you’ll be scouring the pantry for your next sugar snack within the hour.)
Substitute common pasta with a low-carb noodle alternative, and this recipe becomes nourishment. The ingredients provide vitamins, minerals, protein and quality, whole-food energy.

Chili Garlic Oil Noodles Tips
1. Meal prep
This recipe is great to make in bulk and enjoy throughout the week! Once cooked and cooled, the chili garlic oil noodles can be transferred to an airtight container and stored in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. Then, just warm them up in the microwave or skillet, and they’re good as new.
2. Include extra veggies
Enhance the nutrient profile even more by mixing in sautéed vegetables! Anything goes with dish. However, if you’re looking for inspiration, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, and snap peas are some of our favorite add-ins.
3. Add protein
Make these chili garlic noodles even more filling when you pair them with a high-quality protein source such as our 2-ingredient pesto chicken, air fryer crispy chicken wings, or cooked ground beef or turkey.
4. Have leftover noodles?
Save them to make more chili oil garlic noodles at a later date. Or, use them to make hidden veggie pasta and toss them with avocado pesto to have all your meals covered for the week.
5. Make it vegan
To make this recipe vegan, simply replace the honey with pure or sugar-free maple syrup. You won’t be able to tell the difference!
