Creamy avocados, tangy onion, Roma tomatoes, and spicy jalapeños form the base of this homemade guacamole recipe.

– Avocados – Onion – Roma tomatoes – Jalapeño peppers – Lime

Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.

Using a fork or potato masher, mash the avocados to your desired consistency. Some prefer a chunkier guacamole, while others prefer it smoother.

Add the diced onion, diced tomatoes, diced jalapeño peppers, minced garlic, and chopped cilantro to the bowl with the mashed avocados.

Squeeze the juice of one lime over the mixture. Add salt and pepper to taste. Gently fold the ingredients together until well combined.

Taste the guacamole and adjust the seasoning and lime juice as needed. If you prefer a tangier guacamole, you can add the juice of an additional lime.

Cover the guacamole with plastic wrap, ensuring the wrap is in direct contact with the surface of the guacamole to prevent browning.
