Let’s take a look at the main ingredients:

      • Zucchini
      • Marinara
      • Onions
      • Mushrooms
      • Mozzarella
      • Parmesan

Zucchini, mushrooms, and onions are natural, nutritious food sources. Use them to add color, nutrients, and flavor to a variety of recipes.

But what about mozzarella and parmesan cheese? Is dairy healthy?

Here’s what we know. Dairy is full of vitamins, minerals, protein, and natural fat energy. But if everyone consumed dairy all of the time, dairy farming would become abusive and unsustainable…

Let’s be mindful of our dairy intake. Buy dairy that comes from pasture-raised cows and try to eat less.

Sugar is what makes food unhealthy.

Most pizza bites are made with mini bagels as the base. Bagels are made of white flour (starch carbs), which digest similarly to sugar.

In a single serving of standard pizza bites, you’re already up to 27g of sugar. Next, you’re looking at heartburn with an energy crash. (And you’ll be scouring the pantry for your next sugar snack within the hour.)

Swap the mini bagels with zucchini, and this recipe becomes nourishment. The ingredients provide vitamins, minerals, and quality, whole-food energy.

      Zucchini Pizza Bites Tips

Zucchini Appetizer Ideas! Best Finger Foods for a Party.

      1. Make it a meal

Enjoy these zucchini pizza bites as an appetizer or side dish with main courses like a balsamic chicken skillet, lemon garlic chicken sheet pan, or lemon pepper chicken wings. Or, serve them as a vegetarian main dish with sides such as lemon parmesan salad and low-carb dinner rolls.

      2. Swap the zucchini

Not a fan of zucchini? Use eggplant or mushroom caps instead!

      3. Store leftovers

This recipe is best enjoyed right away while the zucchini is fresh. However, if you have leftovers you can store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat them in the microwave, oven, or air fryer when you’re ready to eat.

      5. Slice big enough rounds

Make sure to slice the zucchini rounds thick enough to hold up to the weight of the toppings! Roughly 1 inch wide should do the trick!

      6. Have leftover zucchini?

Use it to make crispy zucchini chips as a snack!
